About Senior Care Authority, Denver Metro

Kelly O'Connor, MA, CSA

The care team at Senior Care Authority, Denver Metro has a combined 50+ years of experience to dedicate to your family. Our sole purpose is to support you in your role as decision-maker regarding the future or current care needs of your loved one.

Our founder Kelly O'Connor knows exactly what it’s like. For most of her 20s, Kelly cared for older and ailing family members, serving as a caregiver for her mother who had cancer, and as a long-distance caregiver for her two grandmothers. At a young age, she held the responsibility of making critical healthcare and estate decisions during a time of crisis.

After their unfortunate passings, Kelly returned to her career as corporate communications executive in the fashion industry. She worked with all the top magazines, television shows, movies and celebrity stylists, but her heart was calling her to contribute her talents and experiences in a larger, more meaningful way. She went to graduate school school and started volunteering with various philanthropic organizations, including a local hospice in Denver. Then she received the call that changed her life...a well-known senior industry professional said, “I have the job for you.” And the rest is history.

It was then that Kelly began a heartfelt second career in the senior living industry, specializing in moves and transitions. She has worked in almost every area of the field: independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, hospice and home care. She holds a master's degree in Spiritual Psychology and a Professional Advancement Certification in Gerontology. She also received her Certified Senior Advisor designation which confirm her proficiency as a specialist in aging, as well as expanded her network nationally. She completed Certified Eden Associate Training with the Eden Alternative, an international organization transforming how nursing homes operate worldwide. In addition, she completed Masterpiece Living Academy associate training for Successful Aging and associate training through Naomi Feil’s Validation Training Institute. Kelly is an active member of the Denver Senior Coalitions and the Colorado Senior Lobby. She has also served as a "Music and Memories” volunteer for residents with Alzheimer’s and dementia and regularly teaches at Clermont College of Creative Life, where the average student age is late-80s.

Clearly, Kelly's dedication to elders and their families is paramount in her life. Alongside her work, Kelly makes time to sneak away with her handsome four-legged companion, Buddy, exploring the trails, lakes and coffee shops in Denver and throughout Colorado.

Kelly is always happy to help with all the necessary services related to assisted living facilities or residential care home for your loved ones in Denver metro area. You can see assisted living facility reviews in Colorado on her corporate page.
